Lessons
​
Lessons are taught by Melissa Hillis.
​​
Melissa's reputation as a coach precedes her. Her dedication and results oriented way of coaching has helped many horse and rider combinations triumph in the show ring. With decades of experience in the ring, Mel excels coaching both Hunters & Jumpers.
​
Lessons are done on well-schooled horses or ponies. Each student is assessed to see what school horse/pony is the most suitable for their level of riding. Fun with safety is stressed at all levels. Ages 4 and up – Adult groups available.

Lessons are available during the week and Sundays. In the summer, weekend lessons could be moved because of horse show commitments. Lessons are scheduled weekly, bi-weekly or monthly to suit your budget. Lessons are 1 hour in length but require rider there 30 mins before to make full use of the hour. Proper boots with a heel must be worn to lesson. Helmets are supplied if needed.

If students want to show, we prepare them for upcoming shows in the area using the lesson horse they have been using in their lessons. We show on the Prelude Circuit and the Southwest Trillium Circuit. Trailering to all events in a 6-horse transport truck and 4 horse head to head trailer.
